Silence Jones is a trained assassin working for a highly informed, connected, and covert group called The Watchers. In this assignment, he is on a mission to investigate a con artist preying on grieving individuals in St. Augustine, Florida. Silence is tasked with uncovering the true nature of a potentially fraudulent séance targeting wealthy families. While doing so, he reflects on his past relationship with his beloved, deceased fiancée, CC, and finds himself dealing with dark secrets and unexpected dangers.

Silence Jones's moniker is due to a previous injury that causes pain when he speaks and a caustic sound. He is portrayed as a good neighbor to the elderly Ms. Enfield, whom he will drop everything to help and protect. During his investigation, he faces confrontations requiring timely logical situational assessments and brute strength. At one point, he has a martial arts showdown with a formidable enforcer, Sawyer. Erik Carter navigates Silence’s dual nature as a tough investigator and a compassionate friend through actions and words as he works to disrupt the diabolical plans of the evil characters.

Gary Bennett delivers an exceptional and engaging narration of this action-packed thriller. His distinctive voices bring each character to life in every scene. Listeners plan to be captivated by the sounds of the fighting, the savory aromas of food at exclusive events, and the intense pain resulting from brutal confrontations, all enhanced by well-timed pauses and perfect pacing.
