Everything Has Consequences - Even Good Stuff!

Review #1 by D. Vaughan

Emma and her friends were selected to become Stone Keepers.  Their excitement at becoming superheroes was soon outweighed by the devastation and savagery that required using their powers. Their hopes and dreams have become nightmarish as the responsibility of saving the world falls upon them!

Timothy David effectively crafted a superhero novel in which each listener experiences the depth of pain and fear felt by each of the characters. It was an immersive experience and engaging not only because of the effective dialogue but also because of the rich and vivid details.  He did a great job of developing characters and employing effective and unexpected plot twists.

Tiffany Magnuson served as the narrator and delivered a compelling performance, skillfully capturing each character with accuracy and depth. Her clear enunciation and steady, fluid pacing enhanced the storytelling, while her well-timed pauses effectively heightened the drama.

This was an exciting superhero book and was well-written.  However, as a parent, I felt a little uncomfortable with the portrayal of parental approval of underage characters engaging in a sexual relationship complete with sleepovers.

Review #2 by L. Snyder

This book vividly captures the journey of young girls thrust into the role of superheroes, battling unseen enemies to save their planet while struggling to master their newfound powers without guidance. Amid the chaos, they must also navigate the challenges of growing up.

Timothy David, the author crafts an engaging superhero story with well-developed, realistic characters. The dialogue feels natural, and the storyline is both compelling and immersive, with unexpected plot twists that are skillfully executed.

Tiffany Magnuson brings the narrative to life with a compelling delivery. While she doesn’t use distinct voices, as the story is primarily told from Emma’s perspective, she effectively conveys each character with depth and richness. Her clear enunciation and well-paced cadence help to keep the listener engaged throughout.

As a big fan of superhero books, I found this one intriguing and engaging. It also helped that I could relate to all of the characters on a personal level as well.

Unique Super Heroes!

Review by C. White

Emma was once a quiet loner bullied by others in her school until the Gems selected her as a keeper! Now, gifted with powers a growing cohort of friends, and an AI mentor, Emma battles the evil arriving and wanting to destroy the earth and the gem keepers. This was not her choice, but rather an imposed path she was forced to take.

The author, Timothy David, Crafts a captivating narrative where young girls confront powerful enemies and alien races interested in a cosmic war while embarking on their harrowing journey of self-discovery marked by pain, sorrow, and fear. He vividly conveys each character's fears and emotions, developing them with depth and accuracy. The plot twists are engaging and unexpected, while the dialogue feels authentic to the narrative and characters. The satisfying ending leaves the series open to further adventure and danger.

The narrator, Tiffany Magnuson, delivers an engaging performance by narrating from Emma's perspective, with clear speech and well-matched tonal inflections that fully captivate and immerse the listener. I found her pace and delivery to be smooth and flawless.

This audiobook offers a compelling twist on the traditional hero narrative, emphasizing and celebrating the strength of female connections.
